Here are 7 reasons why December is a great month to restart your fitness journey. Rather than waiting for the New Year energy to kick in

  1. Gyms tend to be quieter as December is typically a busy month of social catchups as well as extra chores to do ahead of Christmas and holidays. Not to mention the odd cold
  2. It’s easier to get a space in a class, and the class size may be smaller than usual.
  3. You can therefore try out classes with a wee bit more confidence
  4. Gym inductions are often included in your membership. It will be easier to book into one in December. The instructor will create a programme to follow and show you how to use the equipment.
  5. The Gym floor will be quieter too, so you can familiarise yourself with all the kit you want to use.
  6. Personal Trainers may have offers as it’s a quieter time of the year. If you are thinking of investing in Personal Training, it’s a great time to get some dates in the diary for January
  7. If your gym also has a sauna or steam room, it’s great to get some heat into your bones when it’s cold outside.
