When you are starting to exercise again after the menopause, there may be times when you just don’t want to. However, you don’t have a good reason not to. You recognise the shift from the messy menopause days:
  • You are organised
  • You have the energy
  • You have a gym plan
  • You have the time
  • And you are also on time.
But you are meh about it. Which can feel frustrating in itself. If it’s been a struggle to exercise through your menopause and now you can but also meh. You recognise how far you have come but also the frustration of understanding how exercising has changed for you. Exercise has always been about personal development in my book. But understanding that the experience of the menopause has changed you. That may mean how you workout may also need a change. How you approach a Sulky Workout will be different for everyone. For me it’s about experimenting with a bit of kit that I haven’t used for a while. It’s something new. At the moment I am working through the Cardio kit. Figuring out what my ideal settings are and making notes about it. You may know what will give you a sense of satisfaction after working out. But part of the menopause journey is that you may not. Figuring out how to be OK with that and experimenting. What you now enjoy about exercising is not something anyone can tell you.
